FCDHBCN to host Iran’s Sheep Will Devour Us’

The Film Festival and Human Rights of Barcelona (FCDHBCN) in Spain is set to screen Iranian short film ‘Sheep Will Devour Us’.

Directed by Mostafa Rostampour, the short flick is among the selected works to be showcased at the 17th edition of the Spanish fest. The screening slot dedicated to the flick is from January 21-27, 2021.

‘Sheep Will Devour Us’ is about a woman named Tahereh, who is a victim of very young age marriage.

She, who has suffered the aftermath of such a tradition, is trying hard to avoid such destiny for her younger sister.

The film has already been screened at a number of global events, including the Heritage film festival in the US, the Barcelona Human Rights Film Festival in Spain, and the Eastern Europe International Movie Awards in Turkey.

The FCDHBCN aims to promote and open up spaces for screening of cinematographic works dealing with the defense of human rights. At the same time it means to increase public awareness and boost the respect for the human rights.

Due to the pandemic, the fest has been held online since December 1, 2020 and it will wrap up on March 5, 2021.
